Welcome to the NYC Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) Portal. This site hosts information for students and families to understand and prepare for the SHSAT. Students in grades eight or nine who want to apply to one of New York City's specialized high schools must take the SHSAT. All students in grades eight and nine who are current New York City residents are eligible.
